Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett is recovering from a separated shoulder after a car wreck near U.S. Highway 78 and the Atlanta Highway at about noon Friday. Close friend John Elliott said Padgett, an Athenian, was at home recovering Friday afternoon. Padgett needed to cancel an appearance at the Georgia Federation of Republican Women?s conference in Atlanta, Elliott said, but ?I wouldn?t be surprised to see him out walking around tomorrow.? read more ...
